He is survived by mother, Ruth Klippenstein, brother Wayne (Paula), sister Judy (Ron), John's children Cody and Brendan and their mother Jaye. He also leaves his niece Laura (Tim), nephew Jeremy (Angela), nephews Dylan (Ashley), Daniel(Heidi); many cousins and many friends in many places.
Murray John lived life in a big way, embracing it fully, on his own terms.
He was a traveller from University onwards..living in 6 different countries; and he was a keen businessman, a lifelong musician, and, most of all, a storyteller. He could regale his listeners with his life experiences, all the lands he'd been to, all the people he'd met and all the stories to go with the when and where.
Eventually John settled in Vancouver, drawn by the natural beauty of British Columbia.
In recent years, he found joy spending winters in Zihuatenejo, Mexico, with many friends he met, including Glenna (his most recent partner), and Dave, a longtime friend from his youth. He spent time relaxing, sailing, and participating in the lively music scene, his guitar ever by his side. This was his Shangri-la.
Murray John will be missed by all who knew him.
May his Spirit remain among us.
