APRIL 26, 1952 –MARCH 16, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother, Mick Sahota, age 61. Mick has lost his battle to kidney disease. He is survived by his father, Karam Singh, brother George (Cheryl) , sisters’ Vickey, Sindy , Jeeta and loving nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by our Mom, Mohinder Kaur. Mick touched the lives of many, many friends and family with his beautiful heart and gentle soul. He will be remembered as one of a kind, who always thought of others before himself. He embedded the spirit of giving and generosity. His unlimited passion and devotion to charitable causes , most notably, his ”Believe in the Journey” campaign for the Kidney Foundation and BC Transplant Society, kept him going strong up to his very last days. He was happiest when planning for the next charitable cause, sporting event or fundraiser. Mick’s other passion was for the love of sports. As a long time season ticket holder of the BC Lions, Canucks and Vancouver Giants, there was never a game he didn’t have time for, nor did he pass up an opportunity to share his love with friends and family. A funeral service will not be held, rather, we invite you to a viewing and refreshments on Saturday, March 22, 2014, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at the Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver. And a Celebration of Life, to be held April 12th @6pm, Fraser view Hall, 8240 Fraser Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to “Believe in the Journey”, The Kidney Foundation of Canada, BC Branch.
