With great sadness, we announce the passing of Jordan Ann Joseph on July 9, 2024. Jordan was born to Gerald 'Jerry' Joseph Baker and Juliette Marlene Baker (nee Newman) on June 30, 1982, at Lionsgate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC. She spent her early years in Eslha7an (Mission IR# 1) before moving to X̱wemelch’stn (Capilano IR # 5). She attended KeelaBrice Preschool and Collingwood School before graduating from Carson Graham Secondary School with a Dogwood Diploma. She further pursued her post-secondary education by completing a Certificate in Business Administration from Capilano University, Certificate in Business Leadership & Management from Vancouver Community College, and an Executive Master of Business Administration in Indigenous Business Leadership from Simon Fraser University. Jordan followed her mother’s work ethic, working for First Nations Chiefs Health Committee, Squamish Nation Council, Ayas Menmen and most recently she was the Director of Member Support Services. Jordan was a multifaceted individual who excelled in several sports, showcasing her athletic prowess. Her marriage to Lance Joseph Jr. was a testament to their love and shared passion for sports. Jordan's cherished achievement was raising her son, Owen, who was her pride and joy. She was devoted to her family and community, culture education Pride in being Squamish and her legacy continues to inspire others. Jordan had a closet full of clothing she borrowed from friends; lighters, shoes, and sweaters even if they were too big. She will always be remembered for her warm smile, infectious laughter, and love of singing and dancing. Jordan was an exceptional mother, adoring dog grandmother, and Owen's biggest cheerleader.
Survived by her husband Lance Christopher Joseph, son Owen Avery Joseph Siblings, Ray Ritza, Michelle George, Dionne Nadine Baker, Jerald ‘Ben’ Baker, nieces and nephews, Rachelle George (John), Damian George (Jazmyn), Seth George, and Zoe George, Darian Heral and Isaac Heral. Grand nieces and nephews, Ethan George, Emma George, Cassius George, Nathan George, Hendrix George, and Seth George Jr.
