Growing up her nicknames were “Pudge” and “Lil’ Lady”. She loved, adored and respected “J9” and Josh. Their bond was strong, unbreakable and is forever eternal.
Jennifer grew up to be such a beautiful young strong woman, who carried herself with great pride and confidence. Culture was important to Jenn, together the family would go to Westcoast Nights, her nation's urban feasts, and of course bingo! Jenn was a member of the Lake Babine Nation and Gitksan Wet'suwet'en..
In her lifetime, she lived in Smithers, Hazelton, Moricetown, and Prince George, before moving to Vancouver. East Van became home and the family has strong roots in the community. Upon moving here, very quickly a large extended family and loving group of friends grew and strengthened around Jenn and the family. Jennifer has so many friends and family in the Vancouver community; she as the cherished sister and friend of so many. They always looked out for Jenn and she was protected. Countless memories to cherish were shared with her here.
When Jennifer and Mike became parents, Jenn’s life changed for the greatest! She was the proud mother and best friend to Aliyah. Jennifer cherished and adored her Babygirl. Jennifer was also a proud loving aunty to Edmond, Jason, and Jaylin, and a dear cousin to many. She spoiled them, watched over them and loved them unconditionally.
Some of Jenn’s many passions were dancing, getting all dolled up and expressing herself through her love of makeup and fashion. She loved snapchat and Facebook. Sharing loving moments in photos, videos and selfies, sending kissy faces and throwing up “Peace and East Van”.
Jenn was shy, but she loved to joke around. Her laughter was gentle and she could turn anybody’s day around with all the love she had in her heart.
She loved seeing people smile and making them laugh. Jennifer lived in the moment and for every moment.
At sunset on May 23, 2020 our dearest Jennifer went on to the spirit world to reunite with her sister Jeanine and loved ones.
Jennifer is loved and survived by her parents, Josh, nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles, so many cousins and many more friends.
Mom,
You’re my best friend. I love you to the moon and back, and always and forever ~ Babygirl Aliyah
Brother,
When you raise your shield, so will I.
Sister,
When you charge at the enemy, so will I.
And if death awaits us,
calling his warriors home,
Let me go die smiling by your side.
For we are family. ~ Josh
“We love you and are going to miss you. You’re always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts. Your entire life we were proud of you and you meant the world to us.” Always and forever Mom and Dad
