Colleen Jean Lewis (nee: Baker)

It is with great sadness we advise our dear Elder Colleen Jean Lewis passed away peacefully on April 1, 2022 at Berkley Care Centre in North Vancouver. Colleen was born to her late parents Dominick Baker and Matilda (nee Cole) in St’á7mes (Stawamus IR no.24), BC. She grew up on Eslha7an, Mission Indian Reserve No 5 and attended St. Paul’s Indian Residential School. She was a caretaker by trade and worked Coqualeetza Indian Hospital with TB patients, Squamish Nation Ta-ah Lodge (from open to close), and Home and Community Care as a homemaker. Colleen had a great sense of humour and had a nickname for everybody. She was always joking and dancing. Colleen was proud of her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she lovingly referred to as her Kings and Queens.
Colleen is survived by and will be dearly missed by her loving son Robert ‘Bosco’ Kelly (Noreen); sister Ivy ‘Joan’ Peters, Lila M. Johnston; uncle Jack R. Lewis(Cheri); grandchildren Marvin T. Baker, Lila G. Baker, Renia B.C. Baker, Lisa M. Baker(Adam), Angeline ‘Angie’ S. Baker, Candace J-A Kelly(Trevor), Joseph ‘Joey’ M.C. Kelly(Loni), Anthony M. Kelly, Kyle V. Kelly, Darryl E.Z.N. Kelly; great grandchildren Breeann R. Baker(Kalup), Dennis L. Simpson III(Danica), Mandelyn ‘Mandy’ E. Lane, Ethan Castilloux(Jackie), Isreal R. Baker, Farah B. Baker, Madison J.C. Baker, Michael D.A. Baker, Jade H. Baker, Brodie A. Baker, Emily K.L.C. Kelly, Trevor L. Kelly II, Isabella H.M. Baker, Kyle D. Kelly Jr, Kailyn A.V.M. Kelly, Scarlett A. Joseph-Kelly; great great grandchildren Cira, Celina Simpson, Dreyden Ohman, Daxxy Lane and many loving relatives and dear friends.
