Lloyd "Pops" Overbey

Lloyd “Pops” Overbey, 80, of Van Buren passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at his home. He was born October 7, 1942 in Fortuna, CA to the late Homer and Opal (Lincks) Overbey. He retired from Kay Chair Company in Van Buren after 25 years. Lloyd loved the Razorbacks, car races at Tri-State Speedway, loved talking, and never met a stranger. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Don Overbey.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Overbey of the home; three daughters, Teresa Robinson and husband Matt of Cedarville, Melinda Johns of Van Buren, and Angie Patton and fiancé Kerry Doss of Van Buren; two brothers, Kenneth Overbey of Fort Smith, and Dale Overbey and wife Cathy of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, Jessica Vela (Jason), Caleb Robinson (Kymbur), Logan Robinson, Jordan Hess (Casey), Jamie Hess, Carley Woods (Scott), and Maggie Patton; seven great-grandchildren, Drue Robinson, Ross Robinson, Brayden Woods, Lilly Woods, Sophie Woods, Dean Hess and Jude Jennings; as well as his best girl, Princess.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Robinson, Logan Robinson, Jordan Hess, Scott Woods, Kerry Doss, and Jason Vela.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
