Thermon E. Williams, 87, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his home. He was born September 3, 1934 in Van Buren to the late Elbert and Eva Williams. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, retired from Inland Containers in Fort Smith, and attended Shamrock Church. He had also worked in the garden center at the Van Buren Walmart.
He is survived by his wife, Norma of the home; a daughter, Sonya Williams of Fort Smith; a son, Red Williams and wife Angie of Van Buren; a sister, Beulah Berry of Alma; a brother, Hershel Williams of Van Buren; three grandchildren, Ryan Parrish of Fort Smith, Isaac Williams of Tulsa, and Macy Williams of Sheridan; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. There are no services scheduled at this time.
The family would like to thank all the dear people who prayed for him during his illness. Prayer is powerful.
