Shirley Lee Marvin, 79, of Mulberry, passed this life on Sunday, February 13, 2022 in Fort Smith. Shirley was born June 13, 1942 in Mulberry to the late Pete and Jenny (Beckham) Belt and except for her time in Van Buren, when the boys were growing up, she lived most of her life in Mulberry. She took her last breath on this earth surrounded by family. She closed her eyes on this earth and woke up in heaven. We are sure her first words were "It's about time". Shirley was a retired receptionist and file clerk at Radiation Oncology at Holt Krock Clinic in Fort Smith. She was a Christian and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Mulberry. Before her health failed, she enjoyed going to church, trips to Branson, and running around with "The Girls".
Shirley was preceded in death by two husbands, Jim Bob Syrock of Van Buren, and David Marvin of Mulberry.
Shirley is survived by two daughters, Melony Harris and companion Phillip Miller of Dyer, and Jennifer Renfro and companion Derek Clarke of Mulberry; three sons, Travis Syrock of Mulberry, Terry Syrock and wife Ladonna of Van Buren, and Jeff Marvin and wife Mary of Mulberry; two sisters, Carolyn Harrison of Mountainburg, and Cindy Styron of Chester; two brothers, Charles Belt of Van Buren, and Robert Belt of Kibler; fifteen grandchildren, a bunch of great-grandkids along with several nieces and nephews, and a few of her running buddies.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Mulberry with interment to follow at Dripping Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. Bro. Sean Pratt will be officiating.
