Rodger Suihkonen, 61, of Van Buren, AR, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, in Fayetteville, AR. He was born November 14, 1951, in West Hollywood, CA to the late Earnest and Betty Suihkonen. He was a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of the home; two daughters, Kacy Campbell and Penny Porter, of Van Buren; three sons, Tommy Sangster of New Mexico, Donald Amos of Alabama, and Jeff Suihkonen of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Gloria Correy of California; two brothers, Dennis Suihkonen of Idaho, and Bob Syjarne of Minnesota; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Sangster, Donald Amos, Frank Bird, Robert Porter, Jeff Suihkonen, and Roger Amos.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday, December 10, 2012, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren, AR.
