Keith Montgomery, 61, of Van Buren, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in Fort Smith. He was born July 31, 1960 in Albany, GA. He was a farmer, and employed by Gerber Foods for 29 years. He was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Alma; and a member of the State of Arkansas Union Steward’s Association. He was the president of the Crawford County Cattlemen’s Association and used to ride saddle broncs in the rodeo. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ayden Tuff Strickland.
He is survived by his wife, Karen of the home; a daughter, Paige Strickland of Van Buren; a son, Will Montgomery of Van Buren; his parents, Marie and Bill Montgomery of Van Buren; a sister, Anza Elmore and husband Larry of Huntington; two brothers, Gary Montgomery of Weatherford, TX, and Gregg Montgomery and wife Connie of Rogers; and a grandson, Cooper Cole Strickland.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Vaught Cemetery in Mountainburg, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Gary Montgomery, Gregg Montgomery, Will Montgomery, Steve Tankersley, Bruce Suggs, and Howard Vaught.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
