Glen L. Harvey, 78, of Van Buren, Arkansas, died Sunday, October 31, 2010 in Fort Smith. He was born December 23, 1931 in Van Buren, AR. He was the retired owner and operator for Sequoyah Marina in Andersonville, Tennessee and worked for Pfizer Drug Company for 10 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, he founded Peniusula Psychiatric Hospital in Alcoa, Tennessee, and was a member of City Heights Methodist Church, where he also taught Sunday school. He is survived by his wife, Betty Harvey, of the home; two sons, David Harvey of Albany, OR and Greg Harvey of Clinton, TN; two step-sons, David Wilmot of Van Buren, AR and Dennis Wilmot of Van Buren, AR; two sisters, Betty Yancey of Fort Smith, AR and Anna Dixon of Deltona, FL; one brother, Lawrence Harvey of Rogers, AR; 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandsons. Memorial service will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday, November 4, 2010 at City Heights Methodist Church in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren. Committal service will be held privately. Pallbearers will be David Hendrickson, Shane Wilmot, Kevin Wilmot, Kendall Hunter, Keith Yancey, and Dennis Wilmot. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Smith, James Baber, Bob Housley, Lloyd Grace, Paul Summerhill, and JackKhilling The family will visit with friends form 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
