Easter Joyce Childers, 79, of Van Buren, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in Oklahoma City. She was born April 14, 1941 in Craighead County, Arkansas to Curtis and Ermal Biggers. She was retired. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Moore.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Dye of Moffett; three sons, James Dye and wife Sharon, David Dye, and Harold Dye and wife Jessica, all of Oklahoma City; a son-in-law, Ricky Moore of Fort Smith; two stepchildren, Jamie Jones and wife Hailey of Van Buren, and Barbara Watson and husband Eddie of Lavaca; a brother, Henry Bearce of Charleston; thirty-three grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be James Dye, Jr., Robert Dye, Aaron Dye, Curtis Dye, Christopher Dye, and Cody Dye. Honorary pallbearers will be James E. Dye, David L. Dye, Harold D. Dye, and Ricky Moore.
Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
