Charles Pulford, 92, of Cedarville, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his home. He was born September 30, 1924 in Minnesota to the late V’Tell and Rachel Pulford. He was a dealer for Watkins Products, and a member of Shamrock Community Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII as a member of the Edson's Raiders, receiving three Purple Hearts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jacqui; and two brothers, James and Bill Pulford.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn of the home; a daughter, Lillie Willet and husband Keith of Chester; six sons, Blake, Charlie and Kerry Pulford all of California, JR Parmenter and wife Ruby of Rudy, James Parmenter and wife Janet of Chester, and Ralph Steward and wife Lisa of Norman, OK; three stepsons, Terry Wells of Norman, OK, and Jerry and Larry Wells both of Texas; ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with a 2:30 p.m. committal service at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee, OK, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Willet, Allan Wood, Joseph Drewry, Henry Crabtree, Gary Dale Parmenter, and Eddie Joe Holloway. Honorary pallbearers will be Donny Easter, Joe Easter, Keith Parmenter, Dillon Hobbs, and Daniel Turpin.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
