Betty “Jeannie” Prescott, 80, of Alma, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at her home. She was born February 28, 1942 in Fort Smith to the late James and Mildred (Bowlin) McCormick. She was a music teacher for Oak Grove Schools near Little Rock.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Prescott of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Apolskis and husband Rick of Bentonville, and Terri Rigney and husband Daniel of Dallas; a son, Scott Prescott and wife Abby of Tulsa; a sister, Paula Udouj and husband Dan of Fort Smith; and five grandchildren, Ethan Alexander Apolskis, Harlow Rigney, and Griffin, Tristen, and Vivian Prescott.
Family-hosted memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Butterfield Assembly of God in Van Buren. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
