I have many good memories of SGT Hernandez, We were in HHT 1/18 Cav , For many years and summer camps thru the 80s and 90s He was a hard worker . loyal to are country and unit . I was a mechanic in this company for many years, he was in the transportation section .So we worked and trained together from time to time ..During the holidays he would always bring his family ,wife and boys to are dinners. I am proud to say I knew him and we were friends R.I.P.   SFC David Aleman ( retired) Upland CA.

Xavier was more than a great Soldier. He was a caring man that I respected and admired. He was a very down to earth person. I am proud to have known him and served beside him. Velox Et Mortifer

Sgt Hernandez, Xavi,  was my squad leader when I enlisted back in 94.  He was as solid a Soldier as you would ever meet!  Honest, hard working, funny and full of life!  He loved his wife and.kids with everything he had.  Family was everything to him, both his personal and.military families.  I spent many drill weekends with ADVON and rear details doing ammo for the squadron.  Lots of amazing stories, conversations and memories!  He was a Soldiers Soldier and.was.respected and revered by every Soldier in the squadron.  It was a loss to the unit when he retired, his death is a loss to humanity.  Godspeed my friend, until we drink again at Fiddlers Green!

I remember SGT Hernandez as he was always had a Great look at life. He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Chacho was the sweetest friendliest man.  I remember that smile everyday at San Antonio Comminty Hospital.. He will be missed. My thoughts & prayers to the family

Remembering Chacho as he was a dedicated husband and father. He was outgoing, kind and always friendly to everyone. We feel blessed to have known him and he will be deeply missed. Mike and Helen Mormann
