Tom was such a wonderful man and neighbor who will be missed by many.  I must agree the dogs will be quiet wondering where their treats are and the little children he would give Mickey Mouse lollipops to as well.  I think he realized the children were jealous as he gave each dog their treat!  He always wanted to make sure YOU were doing well.  He loved with a passion his dear wife, Barbara, and his long ago boxer.  I so enjoyed seeing pictures on here of Duke.  Tom was an amazing man that served our country in many ways.  All of his neighbors will miss him.  Our thoughts and love go out to Barbara at this time.  Love, Kathy Jackson and family.

When I first met Tom and Barbera about 4 years ago, there was a special bond right away. Tom always shared stories with me of his upbringing, and going to the the Navy at the age of 19...D-day June 6, 1944...He said he was NOT a hero, because he was scared.To me, Tom was MY HERO. He had some real good stories to share....but Tom being the sincere man that he was, went into Law Enforcement. He had a passion to make a difference and always a will to help others.
He was such a kind, compassion man who loved the LORD. 
I went to see him on Thur Aug.9th....and held his hand, I told him, " not to be afraid" ..he has done great things here on earth...He did not deserve to endure any pain or discomfort, his meds helped him sleep. When I left I said a prayer, gave him a hug, and whispered, "God Be With You" (which he said to me all the time when I left his home.) He raised his right hand and saluted me!!! I cried all the way home. :(
But I know God had a plan to take him home to his garden....no more sorrow , no more pain!!!
I will miss my dear friend Tom, but he will remain in my heart, thoughts and prayers forever!!!

When I consider the Godly men I have been blessed to know, Tom is certainly one for whom I have always had great respect.  His kindness and solid Christian leadership made a difference in my life,  and he will be dearly missed. May God's loving presence be near and offer comfort to his beautiful wife Barbara in the days ahead.  Tom is not behind us, we must not look for him back there -- he has gone on ahead of us and we shall see him again!!  Ruthie Morrison (Riverside, CA)

Uncle Tom was a great man;  a unique individual who was loved and will be remembered in our hearts forever.  On most occasions he addressed us by the unique and special nicknames he gave us when we were little and when I think of or hear them, it will bring a smile to my face.
