Richard Roland Hubert

Richard Roland Hubert, of Rancho Cucamonga, passed away on October 30, 2022 surrounded by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. Richard was born in Biddeford, Maine on 12/27/1943. He is survived by his wife Betty; sons John (Alison), Todd (Jill), and Roland (Dawn); daughter Stacy (Michael); 9 grandchildren; and brothers Royal and Patrick. He is preceded in death by his parents Roland and Mary Hubert, siblings Jean, Raymond, and Diane, and son David.

Richard and Betty married at the Chino courthouse in California on July 15, 1965. He was a deeply loved husband, father, and grandfather.

Richard attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School and Ganesha High School in Pomona, CA. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. He co-owned and operated Hubert’s Auto Electric in Pomona, CA with his brother, Patrick. Richard was a parishioner and usher at St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

He recently retired from Enterprise Rent-a-Car, where he enjoyed the comradery of fellow drivers.

Richard loved occasions when family and friends would gather in his home. He and Betty lived in the same home for 44 years and appreciated the companionship and support of many neighbors and friends. They were known in the community for their daily walks with their beloved dog, Daisy.

Richard had an unwavering devotion to his family, for which they are eternally grateful.
