Theresa Hering passed away on May 30, 2018 in San Antonio at the age of 85. She was born on August 13, 1932 in San Antonio to Henry and Gladys Mierzwik. She is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband George Hering, Jr. She is survived by her children Lynette Waltisperger, George Hering, III, Steven Lee Hering, Kathryn Agnes Hering; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters Faydel Sultenfuss (husband Marvin), Margaret Ann Gray (husband Lester) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a lifetime devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the established owner and operator of Feathered Friends Bird Farm in La Vernia, Texas. Visitation will be Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, June 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 16075 North Evans Road, Selma, Texas 78154. Interment will follow at Annunciation Cemetery in St. Hedwig.
