Nancy G. Luna

Nancy was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, México on May 25th 1985, to Jose G. Castillo Mariscal and Hilda Yolanda Castillo Saucedo. A 2003 Graduate from Samuel Clemens HS in Schertz, TX where she was the commander of the AFJROTC Drill team the Golden Wings. It was there where she met the love of her life, Eddie Luna II. They wed and stayed in San Antonio, Texas, where they began their adventure as a U.S. Air Force family.

Nancy was a beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Aunt. A proud Air Force spouse for 18 years, always putting her children first. She loved her family with all her heart and her greatest joy was spending time with her children. They were her light and blessings. She loved photography, traveling, dancing, singing, sightseeing, working retail, Anything Disney, and budgeting with Dave Ramsey.

Nancy devoted her last couple of years as a retailer, child care specialist and as always her most enjoyable job of a stay at home mom. An extraordinary woman who was strong, kind, loving and caring will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Left to treasure Nancy’s memory is her husband of 18 years Eddie Luna II; Children, Nolan, Emma and Alia Luna; Father Jose G. Castillo Mariscal, Mother Hilda Yolanda Castillo Saucedo, Sister Edna (Javier) Salazar; Sister Rosa Castillo, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Nolan Luna, Jose G. Castillo Mariscal, José Antonio Saenz, Juan Ordóñez, Jesse Mendoza and Javier Salazar.

The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out and offered their thoughts and prayers.

A visitation for Nancy will be held Friday, April 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with prayer service to begin at 6:30 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM,also at Colonial Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, 15771 I-35 N, Selma, TX 78154.
