Minerva (Minnie) Bermea Cuellar

Minerva (Minnie) Bermea Cuellar, born on March 2, 1924, passed peacefully into the arms of her heavenly father, surrounded by family and friends, on December 16, 2014 in her home in Converse, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Carlotta Bermea; beloved husband, Max C. Cuellar; brother, Joe Bermea Sr.; sisters, Maria Bermea Gonzales and Consuelo B. Arreola. She is survived by son, Maxie B. Cuellar (Ester) and daughter, Herlinda C. Garcia (Pablo); Granddaughters Maxine C. Perez (Michael) and Stella C. Bailey (Chris); Grandsons Matthew C. Garcia (Laura Beth) and Michael C. Garcia; Great Grandsons, Gabriel and Gavin Bailey; Adrian and Christian Garcia; and many nieces and nephews. She was born in Zuehl, TX and was married for 59 years to her beloved husband. She resided in Converse, TX for over 70 years and is lifetime member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Converse, TX. She will be missed for her love of gardening, cooking, carpentry, and enjoyment of Mariachi music. Special thanks to her caregiver, Yolanda Hernandez, whom she loved like a daughter, for her loving care; to Lucy Rodriguez, for her loving support during our most difficult times; to all her doctors for their compassionate care; to the staff of Heart To Heart Hospice, for all their compassionate care; To the loving neighborhood families of Jose Alfonso and Elena Mendoza, and, Sergio and Gloria Mendoza. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 11: a.m. at ST. Monica’s Catholic Church in Converse. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Monica Catholic Church St Vincent De Paul, or the Epilepsy Foundation of Central South Texas.
