Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, making blankets and crafts and providing care to those in need. Marie cherished hosting holiday celebrations with her entire family and providing comfort to her many friends. Marie was a great Mom, Nana, and loved many; she will be missed.
She enjoyed life and cherished her four granddaughters, loved Christmas and Easter with her family, and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends. Marie had a big heart, ready to accept and love new members of the family, and help any when needed. Her home was always welcoming.
Marie was born to Edmond Schwab Sr. and Sophia Syring Schwab in El Campo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Kalinowski; sisters, Tillie, Regina, Viola, Lizzie, Gladys, Angelina, Honey, Carolyn, and Lorie; brothers, Edmond Jr., Raymond, and Poncho. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Greg); son, Michael (Janet); grandchildren: Kyla (Zach), Krysa, Rebekah, and Abigail.
Visitation will be held on January 4, 2022, at 5 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Univeral City, Texas followed by a Rosary at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church in Kirby, Texas January 5, 2022, at 10 AM with burial services immediately following at the Polonia Cemetery in Lockhart, Texas.
