Louise Delores Christensen was born on May 9, 1935 in Verona, Pennsylvania. She departed this life on October 22, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. She was known by several names – Mama C., Mrs. C, Lois, Mom, Grandmother and Grandma. She would often refer to herself as “The General,” “Texas Ranger,” and even “The Sheriff.”
Early in her adult life, Louise moved to New York where she met and married Adolph (A.G.) Christensen. Over the course of their 56 years of marriage, she worked briefly as a nursing assistant; but primarily served alongside her husband during his 27-year military career; and as a homemaker for their seven children.
Louise accepted Christ in 1971 while living in Riverside, California. When the family moved to San Antonio in 1972, she became a devoted and lifelong member of the Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church.
Louise was a loving wife and mother who cherished gatherings with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.G. "Chris" Christensen; her parents, Willie Stewart and Ruby Howard; siblings Leroy, Juanita, Joyce (“Peaches”), and William (“Billy”); and her two oldest sons, Douglas and Daniel. Her surviving siblings include Ruth Beazer and Mary Collins. Her remaining children include: Joann (Christopher Sr.), Diane (Cornelius), Darryl, Dwayne (Renee), Ruth, and daughter-in-law, Cynthia. Louise leaves 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
