Growing up in an Air Force family, Linda saw the country at a young age living in San Antonio, Newfoundland, Alamogordo, and Albuquerque. She began college at San Antonio College, and later completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of New Mexico.
Linda had a great career working for our government as an Investigator for the Office of Personnel Management, the US Department of Treasury at the Mint in Dallas as their Security Specialist; she worked in Aviation Security for the FFA as a Special Agent, and finished her career with the FBI as a Supervisory Security Specialist. She lived in Albuquerque for most of those years, but she did spend a few years living in Maryland, working in DC, and in Fort Worth working in Dallas. She loved Albuquerque and was happy to retire there from her long government career.
Linda was loving, kind, and full of life. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, backpacking, camping, and even snow shoeing in the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque and elsewhere. She enjoyed traveling and took trips to Hawaii, the Florida coast, and other states as well as a cruise to the Bahamas with her two sisters. She also enjoyed volunteering at a local hospital cuddling the babies in the NIC unit (neo-natal ICU). Linda loved spending time with her family, and would travel to San Antonio every Christmas, and other times during the year, to spend time with her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins.
