She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, and sisters Midgie and Hazel.
She is survived by son Clayton Kauha, daughter Nadine Kauha Wallace, daughter-in-law Laurie Kauha, son-in-law Skip Wallace, granddaughters Cheyenne Kauha and Kora Redinger, and sister Cookie Livingston.
Janice worked for the Department of Defense from 1973 to 2003. An avid traveler, her work took her around the world to Canada, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and other places. She was passionate about Hawaii and its culture and loved sharing stories about her time growing up on the island with her family. Her family would like to give special thanks to all of Mom’s coworkers and friends who loved her and always made her laugh.
A committal service for Janice will be held Monday, May 12, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:20 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
