Born in Hearne, Texas, Don was a native Texan and lived in the city of Seguin. Don was a Great musician and entertainer. He always remembered everyone's favorite song and never failed to play and sing it for them. He loved all his fans and thought of them as family. He was so dedicated to pleasing everyone that on one occasion he even played for ten hours straight even though his callouses split and his fingers were bleeding. He had won several singing contests and was loved and admired by other great musicians that he played with, and even many he didn't play with. Many thought of his as a "Legend."
Don worked extra long, hard hours to earn the majority of the capital to open the family business, "Our Glass." He was the original founder of the business that is still operating after over 30 years. It was because of Don that "Our Glass" even existed.
He was also an avid car modeler. Don built a few models and collected thousands. At one time, he started a car model club in San Antonio. Don's model car and die cast collections is one of the largest in the state of Texas.
Don had a Texas sized heart and loved animals of any kind and size. He tried to feed and protect all domestic and wild animals to include rabbits, possums, skunks, birds, etc. Don was hard to upset, but the only thing that would infuriate him is when someone abused or mistreated any animal. He loved to spoil his own animals.
Don was so loved by everyone he met. He truly treasured life. Because of the way Don could influence so many, and because of his many accomplishments, he earned the nickname, "Zeus." He will be dearly missed by his friends, family, fans, and many others.
