Beatriz C. Valdez 87, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother entered her eternal rest on Friday, February 21, 2020, in Selma, Texas. She was a loving woman who enjoyed cooking for her family and her Catholic faith. As an Air Force wife, she lived in various parts of the country. One of her proudest moments was earning her GED later in life since illness during her teenage years prevented her from graduating with her classmates. Upon her return to Texas, she worked for AAFES at the Skyway Inn at Randolph Air Force Base. But it was her love of cooking that prompted her into opening Tony's Taco House in Universal City during the 80's. She then retired with her husband to enjoy cooking and family time.
She is preceded in death by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 47 years, Jesus C. Valdez; her parents, Pilar Cabrera and Josefa B. Cabrera; Nephew, Ernest Cisneros; sister-in-law, Patricia Cabrera.
