Rosalie was born on May 2nd, 1932, in Newark, New Jersey, to her adoring parents Giacomo (Jack) Pizzolato and Constance Di Gianni. She grew up in Newark and attended high school in Union. After her schooling-years, she proudly took care of her home and family as not only as a homemaker, but also as a truly devoted mother and wife. As an empty nester, she worked as a bank teller and at the Union Town Hall revenue offices.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, John A. Durso, and leaves behind her three loving children and their spouses, John J. Durso (Mary Silvers Durso); Robert G. Durso (Stuart P. Papavassiliou); and James A. Durso (Laura Isobel Durso). Rosalie also leaves behind the following loving grandchildren: William M. Sanford, Michelle Boyle, Melissa Canaan, John W. Durso, Christopher Orangeo, and Emily Fisher and her great grandchildren. She will be especially missed by her dear sister-in-law, Mrs Veronica Pizzolato, and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Throughout her many years, Rosalie enjoyed spending quality time with her lifelong friends. An excellent cook, she devoted herself to her family by honoring several family traditions, especially around the holidays.
A visitation for Rosalie will be held Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083.
A funeral mass at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church at 971 Suburban Rd, Union, NJ 07083 will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 11th. This will be directly followed by an entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park 1500 Stuyvesant Ave. Union, NJ.
