Mary Goodwin, age 72, passed away on Mother’s day May 12, 2019 at her home in Irvington,
NJ surrounded by family. Mrs. Goodwin was born on April 8, 1947 in South Carolina.
She was a graduate of Hopkins High school.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother. She was an excellent cook and had a love for animals and flowers. Her home was open to all and she would tell you the truth in love. She was preceded in death by her parents Louvenia and Jessie Archie, twin sister Martha, younger brother Jessie and eldest sister Josiebell. Mary is survived by her husband Berry Goodwin Jr. who she married December 22, 1967. They had seven children: Berry Goodwin III, Ricky Lee Goodwin, Brian Goodwin, Audwin Ali Goodwin, Wendy Goodwin, Ashley (Michael) Troy and Billy Dee Goodwin. Six grandchildren Tiffani Goodwin, Brian Dixon, Jordan Dixon, Aamir Goodwin, Michael Troy Jr., Aryss Troy and two great grandchildren Neveah and Sean. Mary is also survived by her sister Mary Lee and a host of other relatives and friends.
