Born on June 8, 1941 in Santiago de María, Usulutan, El Salvador, María Angela Ramos Posada, affectionately known as Angelita, was the daughter of María Bernardina Posada de Ramos and Pedro Pablo Ramos who had 10 children, 8 women and 2 men of which she was the fourth daughter.
Angelita had two children, Jackelyn and Gonzalo, who gave her six wonderful grandchildren. From her daughter Jackelyn: Julian, Benjamin, Abigail, and Anthony. And from her son Gonzalo: Abraham and Loyda. She started traveling to the US in 1999 and was traveling until she decided to stay permanently in 2006.
A great mother who raised her two children alone, Angelita was always a strong, dedicated woman, and very close to her children who could count on her at all times. As a grandmother, she was very loving and very dedicated to her grandchildren, she loved to read to them in Spanish so that they would learn to speak and write it well.
Angelita was a Christian woman, fearful of the Lord, who always transmitted that to her children and grandchildren. She loved to read, cook, she was passionate about plants, a coffee lover, an early bird, and empathetic with people. Those who knew her know that she was sweet and immediately friendly, always ready to help.
She is survived by four sisters which are Olga, Tere, Vilma, and Sonia and of course many nephews like Daisy, Lilian, Paz, Marlene, Edilfonso, Gregorio, Aristides, Patricia, Misael, Mirna, Maritza, Pedro, Marcela, Brenda, Paco, Erazmo, and Morena among others. She is predeceased by her very dear brothers Evita, Gonzalo, Conce, Berta and Mabel.
All who wish to join us at her wake may join at McCracken Funeral Home on Thursday March 2, 2023 at 6:00PM. A funeral service will be held at the same location Friday March 3, 2023 at 9:00AM followed by the burial at Mount Lebanon Cemetery/ Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge, NJ.
