Louise Married Serafin Robles in Brooklyn NY March 11, 1940
Louise loved playing the harmonica. While Louise lived at Schaeffer Gardens in Union She established a singing group that she called the "Schaefferetts". Louise always kept herself busy, she was involved many community activities "Knitwits", "Pokeno", "tenant association", "bingo", "bible study" and every "arts & crafts" event that took place at her independent senior living building.
Louise was a faithful woman of prayer and she attended Holy Spirit Church every Sunday. Once COVID became a nationwide health issue Louise continued to pray the Rosary and participate in Sunday mass from her home.
Louise is predeceased by her husband Serafin and children Mary and Fernando.
Louise is survived by her 9 children; 30 Grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and 10 Great-great grand children. She is also survived by her Brother Andrew and his wife Dorothy of Canada, as well as a host of Nieces nephews other relatives and friends throughout Canada and the United States.
Louise was a truly amazing woman with numerous talents, blessed by Kateri Tekakwitha and is now watching over us. Louise will be missed but has passed on a legacy.
A visitation for Louise will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union.
Funeral service will follow.
A graveside service will occur at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 220 Mount Olivet Avenue, Newark.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Louise's memory may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.
