El Martes 8 de Septiembre 2020 en la casa de su hija Mirta en New Jersey, Hilda Mirabito de 90 años de edad pasó plácidamente a mejor vida junto con sus hijas Mirta y Marielena , y sus nietas Marilyn y Veronica a la 1:14pm.
Hilda nació en Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Su familia se mudo’ para La Habana cuando ella tenia 6 años de edad. Asistió al Colegio Sagrado Corazón. Se caso a los 23 años, tuvo a su hija mayor Mirta y Trabajo en el Colegio La Luz en La Habana.
En el año 1967 salió de Cuba para los Estados Unidos con su hija por una mejor oportunidad. En Nueva York empezó una nueva vida, se caso y tuvo su segunda hija Marielena. Hilda trabajó en New Jersey para la Singer en Elizabeth e International Envelope en Union.
Hilda era una bailadora desde joven y también le gustaba imitar a los cantantes de moda de su juventud. Años después en su “tercera edad” perteneció al daycare adulto Second Home durante 20 años. Allí se destacó en bailes folklóricos y en diferente actividades. Ganó campeonatos de dominó en Second Home y Club Cubano. Además a Hilda le encantaba ir a Atlantic City para jugar en los casinos y los bingos de la iglesia eran sus favoritos. Hilda era una señora religiosa, feliz y contenta de
carácter jovial. Le gustaba decir chistes y bromear con sus amigas y familiares. Hilda siempre estaba sonriente y especialmente cuando estaba rodeada de sus queridas nietas y bisnietos.
Les sobreviven sus hijas Mirta Arias y Marielena Mirabito, sus Nietas Marilyn Arias y Veronica Arias-Morales, Bisnietos Natasha Sousa y Tiago Sousa. Su hermana menor Maria Fernandez, ademas sus sobrinos de New Jersey, New York, Florida, Puerto Rico y Cuba.
Su vida y legado perdurarán en los corazones de todas las vidas que ha tocado.
On Tuesday, September 8, 2020 90-year-old Hilda Mirabito passed peacefully to a better life surrounded by her daughters Mirta and Marie, her granddaughters Marilyn and Veronica at 1:14 pm at her daughter Mirta's home in New Jersey.
Hilda was born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Her family moved to Havana when she was 6 years old and attended the Sacred Heart school. She got married at 23, had her eldest daughter Mirta and worked at Colegio La Luz in Havana. In 1967 Hilda
and her daughter left Cuba for the United States to search for better opportunities. In New York she started a new life, she got married and had her second daughter Marie. Hilda worked in New Jersey for Singer in Elizabeth and International Envelope in Union.
Hilda was a dancer since her youth and also liked to imitate the fashionable singers of her day. Years later she belonged to the Adult Daycare “Second Home” for 20 years. There she enjoyed folk dances and a variety of activities. She won domino championships, loved going to Atlantic City to play in the casinos and played bingo at her church. Hilda was a happy and content religious lady with a jovial character. She liked to go out and joke around with her friends and family.
Hilda was always smiling, especially when surrounded by her beloved granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Mirta Arias and Marie Mirabito, her granddaughters Marilyn Arias and Veronica Arias-Morales, her great-grandchildren Natasha and Tiago Sousa. She is also survived by her younger sister Maria Fernandez, in addition to her nieces and nephews from New Jersey, New York, Florida, Puerto Rico and Cuba. Her life and legacy will endure in the hearts of all the lives she’s touched.
