Elizabeth Florence Bertolo

She was born on September 18, 1933 in Newark, N.J. to the late Henry and Edna (nee Suydam) Riepe. From here, she would build not only an incredibly loving family, but an exceptional career as well.

Betty retired from the Board of Education, becoming a member of the Union Township Active Retirees. For over 15 years she was the editor of the newsletter, where she shared upcoming holidays, events, fun facts, and upcoming birthdays.

She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by Danny Bertolo, her beloved husband of 37 years and her sister, Edna. She is survived by her four daughters: Debbie, Linda, Diane and Donna. She was also blessed with four grandchildren: Daniel, Jessica, Casey and Danielle; and, great-grandson Knox. She will be greatly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083 on Monday December 16, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday December 17, 2024 at 12:00 PM followed by burial at the Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083.
