Edward Reilly

Edward Reilly, 61, of Union, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Edward was born August 21, 1957 to the late Luke and Alice Reilly in Passaic, NJ. Edward grew up in Scotch Plains, NJ, and has been a resident of Union, NJ for the past 37 years. He spent his career working as a warehouse supervisor at Kean University for 31 years until his retirement in January 2018. He also worked for the SCI Corporation at McCracken Funeral Home in Union, NJ for 15 years. Edward was a 38-year member of the Elks Lodge #1583 in Union, NJ, and he enjoyed fishing and watching the NY Giants.

Edward was predeceased by his parents Luke and Alice Reilly, brother James Reilly, and sister-in-law Sylvia Reilly. He is survived by his loving wife Susan Reilly; brothers William Reilly and wife Patricia, Thomas Reilly and wife Jean, Luke Reilly, and Joseph Reilly; sisters Patricia Wichner and husband Richard, Elizabeth Ann Lusk and husband James, Theresa Spear and husband William, and Catherine Taylor and husband William; son Kevin Reilly and wife Katie; daughters Megan Reilly and Danielle Reilly; grandson Jayden Reilly; granddaughters Tatiana Robinson and Summer Rae Reilly; as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at the McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, December 27th at 10:30 AM at Holy Spirit Church, Union, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ.
