He was born in Manhattan to his loving parents, Pablo and Rosa Milagros Perez; one of 3 children. Edward came from a large, loving home. During his younger years, he loved spending time with family in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. His father was an air traffic controller which started his interest in working with planes. He attended Aviation High School and continued working on aircraft’s until his retirement in 2022.
Serving in the Air Force during the Gulf War, Edward established a flourishing career as an aircraft mechanic. Even after leaving active duty to join the reserves, he remained determined and hardworking; his dedication will be forever be remembered. He loved working at FedEx and having fun with coworkers turned friends.
Edward enjoyed photography, building his impressive camera collection and portfolio over the years. He also loved building model airplanes, collecting model cars and building a Hot Wheels collection. When he wasn’t building planes, he was spending time with his wife, daughters, and all the schnauzers they’ve adopted over the years. Although he was an aircraft mechanic, he was handy with cars, always helping his daughters and even helping neighbors with car troubles.
He leaves behind his devoted wife Mircia Perez (nee Michel), two incredible daughters: Sarah aka Saje and Tamara Perez, his cherished god daughter Taylor Thornton, and his beloved pup Oliver. He also leaves behind countless family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He will be remembered as a kind, loving, funny, and generous man who treated everyone with respect. To know him is to love him.
