Craig Miller of Union, NJ died unexpectedly Sat Oct 19th at the young age of 41. Craig is survived by his mother Jean Miller, brothers Tim Miller and Carl Weiss, sister Lori Weiss, niece & nephew Gregory & Abigail Weiss, as well as aunts, uncles & cousins. He is preceded by his father James Miller and Shasta, his beloved dog.
Craig was born in Livingston, NJ on June 8th 1978. Craig didn’t let life take him down, he always remained joyful, comical, fun filled, and a jokester. Craig was a good listener and the kind of person you could always count on for support and love. Craig was an honest, direct to the point, “Call it like he saw it” type of person. He could liven up any room with his demeanor or an udder ridiculously hilarious story!
He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hiking the falls in Ithaca, relaxing by Cayuga Lake and talking around a campfire. For Craig happiness was standing in a freezing stream, pole in hand and friends close by as water slowly leaked into his waders. If he was relaxing at home, he was in a pair of comfy pants watching sports, preferably the Jets or Rangers.
He loved to travel and be around good people. He spent hours being climbed on and tackled by his Niece & Nephew, acting silly, building Legos and having loud dance parties in the kitchen. Among the things Craig taught us; don’t take life to seriously, don’t worry about what others think of you and duct tape can fix everything.
It’s hard to imagine Craig not being here with us anymore. Craig would want us to be celebrating the joy he brought to the lives of everyone who he loved and the happy memories we will carry with us forever. May we meet again.
A visitation for Craig will be held Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083.
