

Terence P. Kelly, 80, of Nutley, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at home on July 21, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hoboken, NJ, Terence lived most of his life in Union City before moving to Bloomfield and then Nutley in 2013 In 1994, Terence retired from J.P. Morgan in Manhattan, NY, where he worked his way from being a Page (i.e., Messenger) to a Vice President. He began his 34-year career at JPM in Manhattan NY the day after he graduated high school. After retirement, he found his true calling caring for his grandchildren. He was a loyal parishioner of Sts. Joseph and Michael’s Parish in Union City, where he served as Parish Council president and treasurer, basketball coach, and member of the RCIA program. He also frequently attended Latin Mass at Holy Rosary Church and St. Anthony Church in Jersey City. He participated in Loyola Jesuit Center retreats in Morristown for over 30 years.
Terence was predeceased by his father Walter, his mother Mary and brothers Michael and Mark. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara (nee Denzler) Kelly; two sons Mark and Michael, and their wives, Kelly and Glaucia, and his daughter, Maureen Kelly; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter Kelly of Secaucus; Barbara Kelly of Ewing, NJ; Paul and Rose Kelly of Mt. Pocono, PA; and Maureen Denzler of Secaucus; four grandchildren, Jamie, Jillian, Rachel, and Daniel; and many nieces and nephews.
Terence's Life Celebration will include a visiting on Tuesday July 25, from 4 ~ 8 Pm. At the Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union City, NJ 07087. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at St. Jospeh and Michael R.C.C. beginning at 10:30 Am, 1314 Central Ave. Union City N.J. 07087. Terence will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd. North Arlington N.J. 07031.
