John R. Aiello

John R Aiello – East Stroudsburg PA formerly of Union City, 89, passed away on Tuesday August 20, 2019 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, PA. Born and raised in Union City (formerly West Hoboken) he moved to the Poconos several years ago. After a long career as a mail carrier he retired from the United States Post Office. John’s love of ballroom dancing lead he to teaching and being a member of the New York Society of Teachers of Dance where he held many positions including President. John was the son of Assunta (nee Tablo) and Giovanni Aiello and was preceded in death by his 6 brothers and 3 sisters. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. The visitation will be on Thursday August 22, 2019 from 5 to 9pm. the funeral will be on Friday August 23, 2019 at 9:30am from the Leber Funeral Home then to St. Anthony Church in Union City where at 10:30am a funeral mass will be offered. the interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
