Dr. Nicholas Anthony Marchese MD. 90, of Union City passed away on Saturday 5/17/14. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived most of his life in Union City. Dr. Marchese was a Forensic Psychiatrist having a private practice in Union City for many years and serving as the Director of Psychiatry for St. Francis Hospital in Jersey City for over 33 years. He was the former President of Bologna University in 1972 and a former Board Diplomat of Forensic Examiners.
He was the beloved husband of Maria Marchese (nee. Castellino) and the devoted father of Laura Marchese- Sidoti and Maria Marchese- Mazzeo. He was the dear brother of Salvatore Marchese and the loving grandfather of Mia Stella and Maximus Nicholas Sidoti and Nicholas and Julia Laura Mazzeo.
The funeral will be on Thursday 5/22/14 at 9am from the Leber Funeral Home then to St. Anthony Church where at 10am a mass will be offered. The entombment will follow at Madonna Mausoleum. The visitation will be on Wednesday 5/21/14 from 3 to 8pm.
