Ann M Higgins

Born in NYC to the late John and Mary McLaughlin, Annie and late husband Patrick lived and raised their 5 children in Weehawken, NJ.

Annie is survived by her loving daughters, Darlene Vetter and husband David, Eileen Vetter and late husband Paul, Patricia Mazure and husband Paul, Joyce Higgins, and son, Timothy Higgins.

Annie cherished and was deeply adored by her 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren: Paul Vetter, wife Melissa, and children Gabriella, Scarlett, Derek, and Max; Ashley Figaro and husband Chase; Kari Vetter and partner Ayesha Anwar; Patrick Higgins, partner Mary Spardel, and children Aubrey-Rose and Thomas; Sara Vetter and partner Jason Martinez; Faith Mazure and partner Lucas Goodman-Charlton; and Steven Higgins.

One of 16 children, Annie is survived by sisters Adele Faulkner, Doris Mulvaney and husband Edward, Helen Glackin, Kathleen McLaughlin, Patricia Reeves and husband David, Carol McLaughlin, and sister-in-law Maureen McLaughlin. She is survived by brothers Thomas McLaughlin, Stephen McLaughlin and wife Jeanne, Joseph McLaughlin, and Michael McLaughlin and wife Carol. Annie is predeceased by siblings John McLaughlin, Rosemarie Devaney, Margaret Rossi, Patrick McLaughlin, and Robert McLaughlin.

Annie was also the beloved Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Sunday dinners, birthdays, holidays, and enjoying time with her family were Annie’s greatest pleasures. An avid golf fan, Annie never missed a tournament on TV and loved Tiger Woods.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union City, NJ on Sunday, August 27th from 4pm to 8pm.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Lawrence R.C. Church, 22 Hackensack Plank Rd, Weehawken, NJ on Monday, August 28th, at 10:30 am. Annie will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery, 742 Rutherford Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ.
