Rita Barbara Lariviere

Rita was a communicant and very active parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church Uncasville, since 1974. She was a member and officer of the Rosary Altar Society at St. John. Prior to 1974, she was a communicant and member of the Rosary Society at St. Mary Church in Denville NJ. She was a volunteer for Fr. Patrick Martin at God’s Gift House in Norwich.

She was a loving mother, and homemaker setting exemplary examples for all.

She is survived by a daughter Renee Johnston of Norwich, a daughter Christine Adler and her husband David of Lewiston ME, a daughter Sister Mary Paul Lariviere, order of St. Claire, Sauk Rapids MN.

She also leaves her grandchildren, Heather, Jeremy, Sergeant 1st Class Matthew, Cynthia, Barbara, Katelin and Jacob, her great grandchildren, Annabelle, Jenna, William, Simonne, Alexandria, Sarah, Robert, Julianna, Gabriella, Audrey, Ronan, Natalie, Hadley, Raelynn, Mason, and Stella.

She was predeceased by a son Robert Lariviere.

Family and friends may visit the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, Rte. 32 Uncasville on Friday Dec. 29, 2023 from 10-11:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 12/29/2023 at 12 noon at St. John the Evangelist Church, Maple Ave. Uncasville. INTERMENT WILL BE WEDNESDAY JANUARY 3, 2024 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Cemetery Uncasville.
