Michael A. Malinski

He was born December 27, 1919 in New London, son of the late Tony and Uleana Malinski. He married the late Helen (Baron) August 31, 1941 in Norwich. She passed away July 11, 1994. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Alex and John Malinski.

He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of WWII serving in the Philippines.

He worked at Electric Boat as a shipfitter retiring in 1982 after 26 years of employment.

He had a love of gardening and owned his own nursery. He was also an avid builder and constructed his own home, which he lived in for the past 70 years.

He is survived by his children Michael Malinski and wife Marge of Mystic, Joanne Thompson and husband Arlie of Tracy, CA, Robert Malinski of Salem, Kathy Whalen and husband John of Niantic, grandchildren Wendy, Tracy, Michelle, Marney, Heather, Jennifer, Laurie, and great grandchildren Thomas, Steven, Brittany and Alexander.

A funeral service will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen on Friday at 11 am. A calling hour will be held one hour prior from 10 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Comstock Cemetery in Uncasville.
