Velma Marie Michel Breaux, age 88, died on May 18, 2018 at The Hospice of East Texas. From her birth near Lafayette, Louisiana on January 9, 1930, until her death, she nourished people around her with love and faith. She was known as sweet and feisty. Left to honor Velma and remember her love are her children Linda Breaux-Mahoney(husband Jim), Hubert (Sonny) Breaux, Glenn Breaux, Danny Breaux, Ben Breaux, and Ken Breaux (wife Katie Neill); grandchildren Gina Walters, Shawn Breaux, J.P. Mahoehney, Anna Breaux, Emma Breaux, and Tommy Breaux; great-grandchildren Alex Breaux, Bailey Breaux, Samantha Breaux, Becket Breaux, Louisa, Malcolm and Henry Mahoehney; great-great-grandchildren Lily and McKenzie; and many nieces and nephews and her many close friends, especially those she'd lived with at Garden Estates in her later years.
