Thomas passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Tyler.
Thomas was born on June 19, 1944 in Alba to the late Tolvie Boyce and Kathleen Evans.
He was a member of Rose City Rodders (car club), a nascar fan, enjoyed drag racing, truck pulls, and was a member of a pit crew for dirt track racing. He was a machinist for Tyler Pipe for 40 years and attended the Methodist church.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Evans of Tyler; son, Waylon Wilder, and his wife Jennifer; daughter, Dianna Pappas; sisters, Boycene Tinsley and Bettye Brown and husband, Bob; grandchildren, Stevie Wilder, Adler Wilder; nephew, Matt Brown and his wife, Molly and their children, Zack and Blake; nieces, Allie and Mandy Brown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Evans.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 5 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.
