Shari was the light of any room she walked into. As one friend put it so well, she had a 20 gallon personality in a 5 gallon body. She loved harder and deeper than anyone ever could. Her laugh could bring joy and warmth to the coldest of souls. Her hugs made everything right in the world. You hugged her and knew everything was okay and never wanted to let her go. She wasn’t just this little sweet woman with an amazingly bright light around her, she was THE light of her family. She and Keith lived and made a beautiful life together for the last 36 years. They made two beautiful, caring, strong, and loving children who were her heart and soul, Tabitha and Jeremy. She loved her family so fiercely. They were her everything; all you had to do was talk to her for five minutes and you’d know that.
Two months ago her love for her family grew even deeper because she got to finally be a Gamma. She loved her granddaughter, Presley, her “Love Love”, so very much. They will have a bond that no others could ever have. She got to feel the love of the sweetest little boy, her step-grandson Bentley, whom she loved so much and couldn’t wait to get hugs from or phone calls from. If it was to tell her what he did at school, to tell her that he got a letter from Santa, or just to ask her when he would see her next, she had so much love for him and he for her. She loved both her grandkids with every ounce of her being and loved having the new title of “Gamma”.
Shari was loved by so very many people from not only her family, and her friends, but her patients. She loved them all even more. She loved working with people and helping them to feel better in anyway she could. She had the heart of a caregiver.
The family thanks you for the outpouring of love and generosity given to them. "Thank you" isn’t enough for what they want to express to all of you. A GoFundMe has been set up to help with any other expenses that may occur if you’d like to make any donations.
Shari is survived by her husband Keith; her children,Tabitha and husband Chris Smith and Jeremy; two grandchildren; brother Tim Hallett and his wife Kathy and countless nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Community Church, in Tyler, on Thursday, January 17 at 2:00 pm.
