Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler with Bro. Bill Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery with John Infanger, Floyd Julian, Curtis Land, the late Frank Lily, Patrick Lynch, Daniel Walters, and Curtis Woodall serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., Friday evening at the funeral home
Larry was born in Paris, Texas on July 3, 1948 to the late Eugene and Thelma Frances Still Henry. He attended Powderly Elementary and graduated from Paris High School. Upon graduation Larry enlisted in the Navy as a fire control technician on the USS Blue from October 1967 to November 1968 patrolling the waters off the coast of Vietnam.
After discharge from the Navy, Larry attended East Texas State University in Commerce. He received a bachelor’s degree in business and finance. During this time he met and married Sandra Woodall and welcomed Curtis and Teresa into his family. To this union two beautiful daughters were born, Gena and Shelley. Sandra was welcomed into heaven in 1996.
Larry worked for the Texas Department of Health and Human Services as an auditor and investigator for 30 years.
On January 6, 2002 Larry was married to Ann Evans Arnold in Brownsboro. His extended family now included step-daughters, Stacey McKain and her two sons, Charlie and Wesley and Teresa Bauer and her son, Daniel.
Larry enjoyed his retirement by spending his time between Montana and Texas and enjoyed the view of every place in between. His hobbies include ham radio, ship cruises, traveling and sightseeing.
Larry is survived by his wife, Ann of Chandler, daughters, Gena Lynch, and husband Patrick, of Wylie, Shelley Henry of San Antonio; step-son, Curtis Woodall of Little Elm; step daughters, Teresa Bauer of Louisville, Kentucky and Stacey McKain of Bullard; sister-in-law, Jennifer Webb of Garland; aunt, Geneva Henry and her family of Paris; brother-in-law, William Osborn, wife Anita, and family of Wylie; grandson, Cameron Lynch; step-grandchildren, Daniel Walter, Charlie McKain, and Wesley Wilcox.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Frances Henry; uncle, Hal Henry; maternal and paternal grandparents and first wife, Sandra Henry.
