James Junior Moore, 89, of Tyler, TX, passed from this life on April 26, 2022 in Angleton, TX. Jim was born to James Alfred and Ruby Wolverton Moore on September 28, 1932 in Harris, TN. He married his high school sweetheart Loretta Schultz in San Diego, CA on January 27, 1951.
Jim proudly served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955. He worked for 40 years as a supervisor in the chemical industry for Union Carbide. He had a robust love of life and never met a stranger. He loved bowling, camping and gardening and did lots of camping in his trailer. His toughest year in life is when his four oldest children married in 1974. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and great grandfather who will be missed by all.
Jim is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Loretta; sisters, Margaret White, Audrey Castleman, Helen Friloux and Bonnie Hilton; and parents, Ruby and James Moore. Jim is survived by his children, Mike and Sharon Moore, Cheryl and Greg Goff, Teri and Ray Dobbs, Karan and Bill Metzroth, and David and Carolyn Moore; sister, Jean Norrod; brother, Jerry and Anita Moore; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
