He lived most of his life in Phillipston, Pennsylvania and the last 37 years in Tyler, Texas. He worked many years for Rex-Hide Inc. in East Brady Pennsylvania; transferred to the Rex-Hide plant in Tyler, Texas in 1977 and retired from there in the mid-1980’s. He also filled in his extra retirement time by working at Walmart part time. He loved fishing and hunting. His passion was raising, training and competing in field trails with championship beagles. He attended Asbury Methodist Church in Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Lavonne Lucille Mix Cramer; his parents, William Cramer and Hazel Grace Cramer; his three brothers, William K. Cramer, Robert Cramer, and Harold James Cramer.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: sons and daughters, Gary Cramer (Lynn) of Lima Ohio, William D. Cramer (Sherri) of Chandler, Texas, Kenneth R. Cramer of Tyler, Texas, Virginia G. Cramer of Tyler, Texas, Susan Donaldson (Mike) of Royse City, Texas and Malissa Dodson (Kenn) of Azle, Texas; grandchildren, Stacy Cramer, Chad Cramer (Michelle),Tiffany Blauvet (Jeremy), Justin Cramer (Michelle), Nikkole Cramer (Harold Jr.), Brittanny Petruzzi (Joseph), Bryan Cramer, Taylor Cramer (Ryan), James Cramer, Timothy Cramer, Harvey Channon III (Tiffany), Jennie Channon (David), Jolene Dodson, Frazier Dodson and Carra Dodson; 12 great-grandchildren; and many more family members and friends.
Graveside services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Tyler Memorial Park.
