George T. Dunn

George T. Dunn, 87, of Tyler, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2014 in Tyler. Mr. Dunn, a retired manager for LaGloria Oil and Gas, was born on July 16, 1926 in Bokoshe, OK. He relocated many times during his childhood and settled in Tyler in 1945. He worked for LaGloria for 44 years, retiring in 1991.

He’s been a member of First Baptist Church, Friendly Baptist Church, and most recently, Southern Oaks. He was also a member of T.R. Bonner #764 Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Dunn of Tyler; daughter, Elizabeth and her husband Bob Blair of Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Dunn in 2010 and is also survived by his son, Robert “Bubba” and his wife, Terri Dunn of Longview; daughter, Trena Dunn Holloway of Houston; daughter-in-law, Linda Dunn of Tyler; five grandchildren, Martin Holloway, Marcie Becker, Michelle Dunn Casel, Robert Thomas Dunn and his wife Jordan, Daniel Dunn, Andy Dixon and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8PM, Friday, April 11, 2014 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler and also one hour prior to services. Graveside Services will be held at 1PM, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Tyler Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Weems officiating.
