Gary Dwight Ramsey

Gary Dwight Ramsey, age 64, of Chandler passed away unexpectedly on June 26, 2012, at his home. Gary was born on March 22, 1948, in Gilmer to Gerald Taylor Ramsey and Modine Griffith Ramsey. Shortly after birth, the Ramsey family moved to Texas City where Gary grew up and graduated from Texas City High School in 1966. Gary attended Texas A&M University and played baseball there. Gary worked in sales most of his life and more recently in emergency medical deliveries. The one constant he always had was his work ethic and his optimistic, outgoing attitude. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler where he was a member of the Encourager Sunday School Class.

Gary is survived by his loving parents, Gerald and Modine Ramsey of Tyler; daughter, Leslie Alane Donovan and husband Chris Donovan of Houston; sister, Nancy Kay Hall and husband Michael Hall of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Andrew Donovan, Michael Donovan and Patrick Donovan; niece, Rachel Macy and husband Mike Macy; great-nephew, Isaac Macy; and childhood and lifelong friend, Nolan Welch and wife Phyllis.
