Catherine Rye Eaton was born on January 4, 1933 and passed away on April 23, 2021. She was born in a log cabin in Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas to Andrew Douglas Rye and Eunice Lee Rye (Anderson) near Heber Springs. She married Albert L. Thompson in 1952 and they had two children, sons Louis Gerald Thompson and Kenneth Wayne Thompson (deceased). In 1982 she remarried Glendale M. Eaton, Lt. Commander, USN who survives her. One of eight siblings, she was preceded in death by Joyce, Linda, Glendene, Juanita and Eugene. She is survived by her brother James and sister Sue. She was born with the gift of "perfect pitch", and could play most any tune you asked of her on the piano. She tried to find good in everyone she met. This gem of a soul will be sorely missed. Service will take place on Wednesday, April 28th at 2 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home with burial at Cathedral in the Pines.
